Borup Hydrochloric Acid 30% is a strong and effective acid solution used for a wide range of tasks in both household and industrial settings. It is particularly suitable for acid washing, limescale removal, and pH adjustment, but can also be used for decorative patination of copper.

Applications:

• Acid washing of masonry: Mix 1 part hydrochloric acid with 20 parts water. Apply with a whitewash brush or scrub brush. Avoid splashing and always use protective gear.
  
• Removal of limescale deposits: Ideal for rings in vases, decanters, and flasks. Pour in a small amount of hydrochloric acid and let it sit. Rinse thoroughly with plenty of water.
  
• pH adjustment: Used for regulating pH levels in garden ponds and swimming pools.
  
• Patination of copper: Apply pure hydrochloric acid with a brush or cloth to create the characteristic green surface. This treatment should be done outdoors or in well-ventilated areas. For a more durable blue-green color, Borup Ammonia Solution 24.5% is recommended.
  
  Important:
  Do not use on terrazzo, marble, aluminum, or enameled surfaces.
  Hydrochloric acid may emit fumes ("smoke") and should only be used outdoors.
  Indoor use may damage electronics and installations.
